Investor Relations Coordinator

Thorofare is currently seeking an Investor Relations Analyst / Jr. Associate to work out of its Los Angeles (El Segundo) office. The ideal candidate will possess meticulous attention to detail in managing administrative tasks related to investor reporting, responding to investor inquiries, assisting with database administration, and maintaining records in adherence to Compliance policies. This role will act as an important point of contact for investor inquires, responding professionally to any inquiries, tracking / reporting on investor data, escalating investor requests as appropriate, maintaining Thorofare’s reputation through its outward communication with clients, and largely supporting its growing Investor Relations team operationally. This role will report to the Head of Investor Relations and will work alongside the Investor Relations Associate. The ideal candidate will need to operate in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

  • Be comfortable using Microsoft Office programs – primarily Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Salesforce.
  • Undergraduate degree and proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. are required.
  • An undergraduate focus in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investor relations within private credit, alternative investments, or real estate. Experience in equity research, investment banking, treasury, or FP&A will also be considered. Previous experience in ‘high touch’ client service with a track record of relationship management within a client-centric environment would be preferred.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Administrative tasks include coordinating information flow internally, scheduling meetings with existing and prospective investors as needed, diligently maintaining investor communication records/documentation in Thorofare’s investor relations databases, including contact information, investor activity, managing changes to investment options, including distribution elections, as well as assisting with handling redemption requests.
  • Assist with investor onboarding, including the collection of all relevant investor subscription documentation and reviewing for completeness and accuracy (subscription documents, KYC, AML, relevant tax forms, etc.), including managing sensitive confidential information.
  • Assist with account retitles and assignments, as needed.
  • Partner with Accounting and third-party Fund Administrator to ensure accurate distribution of investor reports, financial statements, tax documents, and other disclosures by or before set deadlines.
  • Creation and distribution of ad hoc reporting, including creating reports via Salesforce or other software platforms.
  • Assist with special projects, as needed.
  • Support fundraising and business development efforts, as needed.
